We are committed to operating our business in a way that demonstrates our dedication to environmental sustainability. This commitment includes:

  • Monitoring and improving our environmental performance on an ongoing basis, and report at least annually on our progress.
  • Partnering with our customers in innovating solutions that address their needs for environmentally responsible freight services.
  • Working with contractor suppliers who operate with similar dedication to global environmental sustainability.

A deep commitment to social responsibility is core to who we are as a company. We believe people and the communities in which we operate are at the heart of our business and take pride in our outstanding work culture. We strive to be an optimal employer and a valued partner to our communities.

  • We foster a proactive safety culture on our railroads by executing our Safety Action Plan, which is based on a belief that every accident is preventable and with a shared goal of zero human incidents across our railroads.
  • In all areas of our business, we will implement and maintain systems to conduct our business to maintain a safe and healthy workplace for our employees, contractors, customers, and visitors.
  • We believe that we are at our best when we bring together unique perspectives and experiences based on our Pioneer “One Team” philosophy that emphasizes diversity, inclusion, equity, transparency, and communication across the organization.
  • We have focused on being one team that espoused the same philosophy: to engage and empower our people.
  • We will uphold human rights standards, operate as a fair and inclusive employer, and strive to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
  • Diversity in our supplier base benefits our company and the communities we serve. To ensure we provide historically disadvantaged businesses the opportunity to bid on our material and service requirements, we will proactively seek qualified certified minority, women-owned, veteran-owned, and small disadvantaged businesses. Supported by unwavering management commitment and engaged Board oversight, we will operate our business with a demonstrated commitment to the highest level of ethical conduct, everywhere in the company and every day.

This commitment is reinforced by strong policies and practices related to fair, ethical, and honest business dealings, robust governance, and compliance with applicable laws while demonstrating respect for human rights at Pioneer Lines and throughout our supply chain, and includes:

  • Proactively assessing and seeking to address material environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities.
  • Complying with relevant legislation, standards, codes of practice, and industry guidelines.
  • Conducting business activities ethically and transparently, with high standards of corporate behavior, meeting or exceeding the expectations of our communities.
